Varun is a full-time MBA student at London Business School, working towards a career in venture capital. At LBS, He is on the Executive Board of the LBS PE/VC Club, responsible for organizing the Silicon Valley Investor trek and for training 500+ club members on fund structures and valuation considerations. Currently, he is an Investment Intern with Plug and Play Ventures, responsible for early stage due diligence and sourcing in the EMEA region.

Before Business School, he was the Founding Member of the PwCs Capital Markets Advisory team, responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy and co-delivering equity story advisory to some of the most notable sponsor-backed IPOs in the US. He also served on the Young Professionals Board of Reach The World, a New-York based education non-profit and was a co-founder of PosiCOVIDity, an innovation challenge to help student entrepreneurs develop and tackle ideas related to the pandemic.
Life & Investing
In his free time, Varun writes about trends in private capital and his work has been published on Economic Times, the 2nd largest finance newspaper in circulation.
He is also actively engaged with founders on investor outreach, pitch deck formulation and fundraising strategy. Varun is also a part of the Delhi Angels Network and his current angel investments include Hypd.Store (Creator monetization platform) and Theneo (API documentation tool), Muoro.io (Remote engineering teams).
Originally from New Delhi, Varun enjoys spending time with friends and family or finding the next best pizza in town or geeking over Formula 1.

Varun majored in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from New York University and minored in Business from the Stern School of Business.
Max Bräuninger
London
Max is a full-time MBA student at London Business School, working towards a career in venture capital. At LBS, he co-founded the LBS Blockchain Association where he serves as Vice President and managed to create an active community of more than 300 people. He is on the Executive Board of the PE/VC Club, responsible for organizing the Berlin Investor trek.
Berlin
Before he started his MBA, Max worked in the Berlin tech ecosystem, where he helped early-stage startups scale by designing their data platforms and growing their Business Intelligence teams. His latest position was Head of Business Intelligence at Joblift, a two-sided platform for candidates and recruiters that uses AI-driven recommendations to become the "digital career advisor for everyone".

In his free time, Max loves to read about the latest startup trends and how they are shaping our future. He publishes investment theses and market analyses around these topics. If you want to nerd out over data, analytics, and the rising threat of Artificial Intelligence 😉 he is your guy.
Max is a foodie, and that to the fullest extent: From being an amateur chef, over trying out local street food during his travels to fine dining: He is in for all of it.

Max majored in International Business from Cologne Business School. He is a certified spot market trader at Frankfurt's Deutsche Börse and a certified Data Analyst.
